We need to do some preparation work before we can take the PMP exam. I have already read information about the PMP online in advance. These include information about the PMI association, the relevant information about PMP examination, the conditions for registration, PMP training institutions, and other relevant information. After gaining a basic understanding, I will do my best to register as soon as possible so that I can receive the materials and study plans from the teacher. I can also create my own plan based on the materials and the teacher’s plan.
1.How to determine the scope and plan of the learning materials?
I create learning schedules that are suitable for the teacher’s plan, PMP data from training institutions, and PMP class on formal education institutions. These are my learning information that I need to determine the scope and arrangement of time. This was combined with their learning pace PMP (e.g., an hour to complete a few sheets of paper, or an hour to finish all the topics). This rate can change as you learn, but it is easier to plan at the beginning and then do it all later. I analyzed the data and then divided the time into stages to create a plan.
2. How to Read the PMBOK Book
You can read the book randomly, but you must complete the book. Even if the book is difficult to comprehend, you must finish the book without pause. The intensive reading is the third time. The third time is the intensive reading. My PMBOK is basically a drawing. You will need to string up to read the fourth and fifth times. When learning about the planning process group, for example, I would put these sub-processes together in a book and then expand the knowledge points.
3. The Teacher’s Lecture
It is important to review after class, listen carefully before class, and preview the class. Even though we all know this, work and life can affect us. This is very difficult. It took me about eighty percent to finish, but it is extremely important.
4. The Practice
My personal opinion is that the questions should not be done, but for you check and review the knowledge points. This is similar to the Check List in the Quality Management Chapter within the PMBOK. Do you have the knowledge points for each question? If you don’t know the knowledge points, go to the book and get it right away.
5. Let’s talk about the Examination
It is important to be awake during the exam. If you encounter questions that are unclear about the topic, draw a token on the examination paper and continue. You only need to glance at the PMP questions to complete them. The more questions you complete in the exam, the more aware you will become. Slowly, your brain can start to wake up. After you have completed about 30 questions, you can stop and fill out the answers sheet. The first time I completed the test took me 2.5 hours. I figured that there were about 130-140 correct questions at this point. I then went back to the uncertain questions for the remaining 1.5 hours. This took me 3.5 hours to complete, with a 10-minute break at the middle and approximately 20 minutes at the end. During this time, I read the entire paper curiously.
