There are many ways to create text in Illustrator.
Point text can be created or paragraph text. It all depends on whether you click and drag the page with Illustrator’s Type tool or if you simply click on the page with Illustrator’s type tool.
Click and drag to create paragraph text. You can define the right and leave margins by dragging. As you get near the right margin, the text will wrap to the next page.
You can increase or decrease the font size by selecting the text as in any other program and then using the Font size tool in the Control Panel.
Clicking will make the text point. You can’t force word wrap by using the right margin. To wrap the text to the next page, you must use either a hard return (Enter Key) or a soft return(Shift + Enter Key).
Point text has the advantage of being able to resize it. Use Illustrator’s Selection tool to resize the Bounding Box. You can increase or decrease the Bounding Box’s width or height, and the font will adjust to fit exactly where you need it.
